Asclepias perennis (White Swamp Milkweed or White Aquatic Milkweed) grows 1-2ft tall. Larval host to the monarch butterfly, queen butterfly, and soldier butterfly. Clusters of white flowers attract bees and butterflies and bloom spring-fall. Tolerates wet sites, but also does well in general landscape situations.

These plants came in great shape, wrapped up tight for protection. Big root system to give them a head start in growing more leaves for the Monarch caterpillars.

The monarchs love these little milkweeds. They were big and wrapped up nicely. Great plants! I love them too.

Excellent. Love mail order natives. Every time I get something they deliver. The aquatic milkweed arrived in excellent condition. Love this.

This is an update to my review on April 21. In late August dozens of Monarchs landed on my plants, which I can see because the window over my desk overlooks the planters. A few days later I’d say there were nearly 50 Monarch caterpillars devouring blooms, leaves, and even some stems. As of today, the foliage and blooms have nearly regenerated. Is it too much to hope for more visitors this year? I’ve seen Monarchs still migrating in the Florida panhandle in late November.

I’ve bought many plants over years from Mailordernatives, and they always arrive carefully packaged in a nourishing medium.
