Clethra alnifolia (Summersweet) 3-6ft; deciduous shrub with fragrant white summer bottle-brush shaped flowers. Partial shade to full sun. Appreciates moisture. This shrub will sucker, so give it a little room. Butterfly nectar plant.

    I ordered this plant late summer; I'd had another plant die in a spot clearly too wet. I've ordered from MailOrderNatives three times before and I've always been happy with the size of the plants received. This summersweet arrived healthy and has taken 3 weeks of 90* F weather (with extra watering of course) extremely well and its pushing both new branches and new flowers. Excellent quality plant with clearly a great root system.
