Franklinia alatamaha (Ben Franklin Tree) can reach 10-20ft in height and 6-15 feet in width. Discovered by Bartram along the Altamaha River in Georgia; Bartram named the small tree after his friend, Benjamin Franklin. Fragrant white flowers bloom in late summer-early fall which makes this species even more unique. Leaves turn orange, red and purple in the fall. Perfect for the woodland garden. (Zones 5-9)

TIPS FOR GROWING FRANKLINIA ALATAMAHA
This one can be tricky but is well worth the effort
Came in in great shape
The plant was much larger than I expected, healthy and vigorous with a well-established root system. It was thoughtfully packed for shipment so that not a single leaf was damaged. I planted it in its biodegradable paper pot so there was no transplanting shock. I am very very pleased!
I couldn’t be happier with the tree I received and more importantly, I was impressed and appreciated the attention Emily gave me and getting my tree shipped out early, per my request. The tree arrived fresh and crisp, showing no signs of stress and was planted immediately. Fortunately is growing well here on the Florida West Coast as we are getting rain on a regular basis. Thank you again and I am just thrilled to be an able to find this tree and get such a pretty specimen. Thank you again Emily.
