Solidago sempervirens Seaside goldenrod 1gallon

Plants arrived in good shape, were planted the same day and are doing well.

I ordered this plant a couple years ago. It is still doing quite well. It has stunning blooms in late summer through fall. Much larger flowers than the "normal" Solidago species. Beautiful!

Muhly grass, seaside goldenrod, scarlet hibiscus arrived in excellent shape. Put immediately into pots to water and sit overnight. The next day we planted in our new rain garden. The day after we had 4 inches of rain. The plants are thriving!

We live on the north edge of Boise, Idaho, on the slopes of what we’re once giant sand dunes surrounding an ancient lake. Our soil is composed pretty much of granite sand and we have a hot, full southern exposure under the blazing sun. I purchased four of these last year -three in the spring and one in the fall - and planted them on a dry slope in mineral and compost-enriched holes (but trust me, that isn’t much in this soil). The spring-planted seedlings went freaking nuts, grew to five feet and flowered like mad. It’s now mid-March and they are already starting to put up leaves again. The fall planted one didn’t make it, but that’s O.K. Our winters are getting squirrelly so fall planting is becoming more of a challenge. I’m so impressed that I’m ordering two more to establish a nice colony to help feed the bees we’ll be getting next year.
