Description

Gaillardia pulchella (Blanket Flower) 1-2ft when blooming; yellow on red ray flowers add a pop of color to dry areas; full sun; short-lived but re-seeds. Attracts many species of bees, including honeybees. According to the Xerces Society, they produce good quality, dark amber honey with a sugar content of apprx. 32%.
