This tree arrived in great condition with about 16" of above ground growth and healthy roots. There were several branches that have many leaves and future buds. The tree has been in the ground for a few days and is doing great.
Quercus alba (White Oak) 90-100 ft. tall; 80-90 ft. spread; slow growing oak that yields beautiful deep purple fall color; wood makes beautiful furniture and acorns are enjoyed by wildlife; state tree of Illinois, Maryland and Connecticut. Larval plant for the Banded Hairstreak butterfly. Zone 5-9.
