R. 'Admiral Semmes' is a very nice yellow-flowered selection.
(From the "Confederate Series" of native azaleas). "The Confederate Series" was selected from a cross of Rhododendron austrinum and Rhododendron x 'Hotspur Yellow'. The cross was made by Bob Schwindt; seeds were planted from the plants, and selections were made by Bob himself to make up the popular "Confederate Series" of native azaleas. These azaleas do well in the deep south heat and humidity.

Plants were healthy, strong and a great size. Immediately repotted them in a larger pot. Too bad the temps were unseasonably hot so some leaves were scorched. They’ve been growing in the pots for a couple weeks now and seem no worse for the wear. I will order from them again!

A healthy plant arrived and was planted within 5 days. Looks healthy and has little leaf buds at each stem. I hope to see and smell more this spring.
The azalea was packed beautifully. The roots were moist and the leaves looked great.
Received on date requested. All the plants I received were healthy and strong. I ordered the one gallon size, if you do so, do not expect large plants. Most of the rhododendron were either blooming are getting ready to with good bud formation. I have not transplanted them all yet, but so far so good. If this changes I will add comments.
The shrubs arrived in excellent condition.
