Description

Rhododendron prunifolium (Plumleaf Azalea) grows up to 15 ft. Needs partial shade. Orange-red flowers bloom July-August. Adding this species to your native Rhododendron collection will certainly extend the flowering time of your garden.

    This was my first purchase with Mail Order Natives. This azalea arrived in perfect condition with a nice size rootball and seems to be doing just fine in the garden. I am very pleased and appreciate that you packed the azalea so carefully so that is arrived without any damage. I will happily continue to order from you.

    Because of Covid19, the plant was in the mail for 10 days. The soil mix was dry but the leaves look healthy and green. I'd pre-dug the hole so the shrub was in its new home within a few hours of arrival. Daily watering for the first ten days, followed by weekly for the first year and I expect it will be fine. I'd order again.

    The plants arrived in great shape, nice size plants for the price. I will absolutely use these guys again for hard to find plants.

    Wanted late blooming native azalea and had difficulty finding. Believe that it is planted in ideal place -- sun in AM, shade in PM. Eager to see it bloom.
