Ulmus crassifolia 'Cedar Elm' or 'Texas Elm' is a large elm tree similar to Winged Elm. It can reach 50-70 feet in height and spread 40-60 feet wide creating a rounded sillhouette. The foliage is dark green and will turn shades of yellow to red in the fall. It has grayish colored bark with ridges described as a "corky" texture. This tree can withstand drought and infertile soil.
Larval host plant for Question Mark moth and Mourning Cloak moth.
