Hibiscus coccineus Scarlet Hibiscus

I've had one of these before but got devastated by freeze. The plant arrived healthy and is settling in to its new home. This hibiscus is much hardier than others in the extreme heat. I would reccommend

Scarlet Hibiscus, also referred to as Crimson Rosemallow, is one of many wonderful Mallows that native plant lovers would be well advised to add to their gardens. This red beauty can be planted in drier areas and can thrive once it becomes established. It does benefit from supplemental waterings during dry spells. Like most Mallows, it does prefer a lot of sun. I've also enjoyed success potting these myself, as well as adding them to wild areas/landscapes.

I received this hibiscus about a week ago but only got around to potting it in a container two days ago. I was so pleasantly surprised by how large it was when it came in. This was my first time ordering from this company so I didn’t know what to expect. Everything I ordered was larger than I expected and very healthy looking. I’ll be a customer again and again!

Muhly grass, seaside goldenrod, scarlet hibiscus arrived in excellent shape. Put immediately into pots to water and sit overnight. The next day we planted in our new rain garden. The day after we had 4 inches of rain. The plants are thriving!

The hibiscus was packaged well with a healthy looking rootball. The stems are dormant and brown, so can't comment on that, but I fully expect this to survive transplant.
