Polystichum acrostichoides (Christmas Fern) grows 1-2 ft. in height and spread. It tolerates dry-moist soils and performs best in shade. It is an evergreen with lance-shaped leaves that are still green during Christmas season; hence the name. Does not spread, but makes nice large clumps.
